So you want to get your truck licence,
well here's a few facts to help you on your way...

In New Zealand we are governed by a graduated driver licence system (GDLS) which means, you must progress through each class of licence before obtaining the next class.

• Class 1 = Car Licence (Any vehicle including trailer up to 4500kgs)

• Class 2 = Heavy vehicle (Over 4500kgs up to 18000kgs)

• Class 3 = Heavy vehicle plus trailer (12001 Up to 25000Kgs)

• Class 4 = Heavy Rigid Truck NO Trailer (18000Kgs and above)

• Class 5 = Heavy Truck and trailer (any combination over 25001Kgs)

• Class 6 = Motorcycle

By completing one of our courses you can reduce the graduated driver licence time frame of obtaining the next class of licence to 6 months (Reduced from 12 Months),
For Example: you must hold a Class 1 licence for 6 months before applying for a Class 2 etc etc...

All of our licensing courses have also been designed around unit standards so that you can benefit from the subsidies available and the recognition of these skills on your record of learning, not just your licence!!

With every licence course that you do with us we will provide you with all of the materials, theory and practical training, and with the exception of Class 5, we also supply you the vehicle and load for your practical course requirements!!

ON COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

Before you are able to complete the practical component of any course you must first hold a learners license in the class you are applying for.

We recommend that you attend the theory part of our time reduction courses first, as we provide you with the materials required, and can assist you through the learners licence process.
